Under the hammer:
Ronald Abram Auction Results

In a year in which we’ve seen record jewellery auction results, Ronald Abram has featured prominently in several international auctions.

Last week, a Ronald Abram Burmese sapphire and diamond necklace sold in the Christie’s Hong Kong auction for US$1.35 million. The stunning 52.88 carat piece generated a lot of interest and was one of the auction highlights. This follows a strong season for Ronald Abram overall.

Globally, it’s also been an exciting year for magnificent jewels sold at auction with some record prices being fetched.

In the first half of the year, several important stones were auctioned including the 15.10 carat De Beers Blue Diamond which sold in Hong Kong for US$57.4 million, making it the largest vivid blue diamond to ever sell at auction.

In October, the 11.15 carat Williamson Pink Star diamond shattered estimates to sell for US$58 million and set a world record for the highest price per carat for a diamond sold at auction. The new record now sits at US$5,200,000 per carat.

These results demonstrate the appetite for magnificent jewels is increasing as we look forward to another year of robust sales.

They also highlight the inherent demand for Ronald Abram pieces on the secondary market.

The pieces sold have come from important private collections. We are proud of the outcome & we’re thrilled to see that our pieces stand the test of time.
